A gem of a guitar shipped out safely and promptly from our little shop in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door. Just a superbly cool Duo-Sonic with a righteous finish. You don’t see these guitars with this finish go up for sale very often so you might want to jump on this one. The Capri Orange finish is vibrant and, in my opinion, is among the best finishes that this model was offered in. Both single coil pickups sound great and have a very snappy, articulate tone that sound great with a clean or dirty amplifier. The medium jumbo frets are in excellent condition and show no signs of play wear and this Duo-Sonic plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard with low action and great intonation. This guitar has a great feeling short scale neck with a moderately slim, modern C shaped profile and a 9.5 radius fingerboard. Otherwise, this guitar is in exceptionally fine, very clean cosmetic condition. This 2016 Fender Duo-Sonic is in very good cosmetic condition and would be listed as in excellent condition but there is one dime sized ding on the top of the guitar and the plastic switch tip is missing (see photos).

On the other hand, if you don't mind saving up, you can always get the SS Duo Sonic in orange, buy a single-coil-sized humbucker OR swap out the pickguard for one that accomodates an HS setup, and either wire the coil-split yourself if you have the capability or drop another $100 at your local guitar shop to have them do it for you.Very good condition featuring double cutaway offset alder body with Capri Orange finish, multi-ply mint green and black plastic pickguard, two Duo-Sonic single coil pickups with white plastic pickup covers with no visible pole pieces, one volume control and one tone control with flat topped knurled metal barrel knobs, three way pickup selector switch, Duo-Sonic bridge with six individual adjustable steel saddles, bolt on maple neck with walnut skunk stripe, maple fingerboard with black dot inlays starting at the third fret, small Fender Duo-Sonic peghead shape with Fender spaghetti logo and Duo-Sonic logo, single butterfly string tree, six in a line Fender sealed tuning machines, serial number and Made In Mexico printed on the back of the peghead, four bolt neck fastening plate with F engraving, string through body construction with six individual metal string ferrules, two metal strap buttons, chrome plated metal hardware and black padded gig bag. Personally, I'd want an HS for the tone options & just to have a humbucker in the bridge. Duo Sonic 2 results Filter Filter Filters.
It's a shame that the HS doesn't have any similarly bright colors. Fender literally wrote the book on electric basses, laying the foundation for musical innovation and evolution. The capri orange really looks lovely, so I understand why it caught your eye. Even minimum wage jobs can close that gap in a few months to a year of savings (obviously YMMV with living situation) The Fender Duo-Sonic packs two single-coil Duo-Sonic pickups, plus three-way switching and Master Volume and Tone controls. Over 40ish years, that's barely anything. He must have paid a few hundred for it when it hit the shelves, nowadays they go for about ~$1,700 on ebay. I have a vintage, all-original 1974 Gibson Marauder f that my uncle let me borrow.
Guitars do not gain value relative to other luxury objects and they are a poor investment vehicle.
